Is it possible to make Firefox the permanent default browser, instead of Safari?
Each time I open up a website, from a link, Safari becomes the default browser.
I can change that situation by changing the default in Safari when I log on and open Safari, but I can't make that stick for next time.
Using MacBookPro OS 10.5.

The option in preferences should fix it. If not, if you find an html file on your hard drive, go into Get Info on that file, look for the Open With section, choose firefox and hit change all.

Oh yeah. I was looking for a way to make firefox as my default browser too since I was used to it with my PC. Thanks for this information. I tried your second options by opening an html file with firefox and changed all and it worked. :)
