Hi there
I have a 2.16ghz core duo (not the core2duo) and was wondering if the newer LED display will work on my machine.
I just had my MBP in front of my brother's brand new 23" Apple HD. My monitor is so dark and yellowish; I suppose it's time to replace it.

No, you can't use the newer style LED displays in a non LED unit.
