hi there a newbie here in rainy ireland. I just bought a great little 12 inch powerbook for a bargain price only to find the reason for the bargain price! It turns off and resets the date to 1970 when more than two apps. are running with no power adapter attached but lots of charge in the battery anyone bot any thoughts?? Many thanks for any ideas.

The problem is that your battery is dying. If your date and time resets, this indicates your battery has drained completely as the date and time settings are stored in the main battery for this model.
