I'm about to tell you a short and sad story...
After trying to identify some recent harddrive problems, (the computer would boot intermitently, sometimes not at all; harddrive was not recognized by Disk Utility or TechTool Pro 4) I decided to check the harddrive's connector cable. Of course to do this, the processor must be removed. I was careful to make sure I was not carrying any static nor my screwdriver, but.... I forgot to disconnect the ac adapter and remove the battery!!! Yes. I know. I know. I know. I'm still kicking myself in the a**.
I didn't realize what I had done until I had removed the processor. I replaced it, but now the system will not boot at all. I double checked the processor connection and it seems to be fine.
Have I killed the processor? Motherboard? I'm close to killing myself (merely a cathartic exclamation).
Help!!!!
