Post subject: ac/sound board or pmu battery board????  Posted: Sat Oct 25, 2003 9:53 am |

I recently was given a g3 pismo firewire that won't start. It has two batteries neither of which will charge. I've tested the powercod and it is fine. I'm having trouble believing that both are dead, so I'm looking at either the ac/soundboard card or the pmu battery board. My question is how do I tell which is bad?

If it won't start, then you're looking at either the Sound / AC or the processor. The only way to test is to try replacement components.
