Post subject: CDR/RW-DVD for Pismo...  Posted: Sun Oct 19, 2003 3:51 pm |

Does anyone have a suggestion for a suitable replacement for the stock DVD-ROM? I am looking for a drive that can utilize the factory DVD-ROM bezel trying to keep a clean, factory look. I searched through the database at xlr8yourmac.com, didn't really turn up anything. A few people have modded the new drives to accept the old bezel but the results sound a little sketchy.

You'd be better to go with the drives from MCE. The mods are difficult, and even when they work they are flaky.We sell the MCE drives, but there is such high demand there is usually a 2-3 week backorder.
