Post subject: VST Superdisk / Floppy Drive LSG32 with Jaguar Posted: Sun Oct 05, 2003 12:09 pm |

I would like to install Jaguar on my PowerBook G3 2000. However, I am worried that I will not be able to use my VST Superdisk or VST Zip 100 internal drives once I upgrade. I have tried to find a software upgrade or an answer, but have been unsuccessful. Do you know if these drives will still work or do I need to buy an external drive? Are there any internal drives that can store data that are compatable with Jaguar? Also, my printer is an Epson Stylus Scann 2000 and I'm worried about it's compatability as well. Please help me determine if it's worth the upgrade.
Thanks.

For the Pismo, most things are compatible. I'm pretty sure the VST devices are. I'd just install OSX along with OS9 (dual boot) boot from OSX and make sure everything is compatible. If it is great, if it isn't search the web for a solution...there is a solution for most things.

Thanks for your answer. Would you recommend upgrading to dual OS Jaguar then, or will it be slower than just OS 9.0.4 with the Pismo?

The Pismo runs Jaguar relatively well, so I'd reccomend a dual boot.
